FRANTZ built its bearing reputation on the quality and performance of its Commercial grade Non-Precision bearings for conveyor rollers. These conveyor bearings are also referred to as Commercial Unground Conveyor Bearings. The bearings are ideal in both gravity and powered applications at low to medium speeds and offer the least rolling resistance, lower energy consumption, and a greener option. FRANTZ offers a limited line of metric dimensioned Unground Non-Precision conveyor bearings for international markets. Contact Customer Service for additional optional sizes. FRANTZ Non-Precision conveyor bearings offer the least rolling resistance allowing for smaller motor sizes, and lower energy consumption, and a greener option. Bearings are available both in flanged and straight faced styles. FRANTZ Commercial Unground Non-Precision Conveyor Bearings are
simply better.
This is our Commercial Unground Non-Precision Bearing value to you:
Load Ratings to meet your needs
Engineered to meet or exceed the CEMA standard of 1M revs at the stated load rating. FRANTZ conveyor bearings are designed and rigorously tested by our engineers to assure that you receive a quality product that will last.
Variety of Optional Features
Depending upon the bearing model, front and/or rear contamination protection is available with shields and/or seals made from polymer, felt, or other materials. Bearings are greased, lightly oiled or dry. Click for Regreasable Conveyor Bearings. Click for Stainless Steel Conveyor Bearing models for corrosive or wash down environments.
IronGrip Carbon Steel Housing
Swaged or pressed will outperform plastic housings. The quality of your conveyor bearing mount is directly proportional to the life of your conveyor bearing. FRANTZ provides you with options to choose conveyor bearing designs that will match your assembly and mounting methods for optimal conveyor bearing performance and life. Click for FRANTZ Conveyor Bearing Mounting Specifications. If you choose the Swage mounting method, FRANTZ has further designed tooling to provide you with that quality mount for your rollers. Click for Swage Fit Conveyor Bearing Mounts. For customers currently using conveyor bearings with machined housings, FRANTZ IronGrip stamped carbon steel housings will deliver comparable performance at a far lower cost. Simply put, with FRANTZ you get the whole package and you have peace of mind that our bearing assembly will carry the load and will not walk out you roller.
Variations for Special Needs
When lateral forces are an issue in conveyor turns or in loading zones, FRANTZ offers our Radial Thrust Conveyor Bearings built tougher to hold up under abuse and pressure. Click for Sprocketed CDLR Bearing and Roller Solutions. For severe shock and load applications where a swaging option avoids costly welding or bearings into tubes, check out our Power Swage Conveyor Bearings. When product needs to be guided along the conveyor, FRANTZ offers our special Wide Flange Guide Wing outer race to keep the product in line. Straight Faced Counter bore Conveyor Bearings are offered for recessing and counter bore situations. Finally, with our selection of IronGrip Adapters, you can spec a bearing and cost effectively adapt it up to larger tube diameters namely; 1.9” 2.25”, 2.5”, and 3.5”.
Premium Blended Grease
Lubrication plays a critical role in the life and performance of conveyor bearings. FRANTZ has worked with its petroleum supplier to custom blend grease to our specification. FRANTZ® 14 provides superior performance over a wide temperature range from -40°F to 300°F. FRANTZ® 14 is used in our GenII® Semi-Precision conveyor bearings as well as most Commercial Unground Non-Precision conveyor bearings and conveyor wheels. It provides very good corrosion protection and a substantial noise reduction (up to 6 db) compared to standard greases. For our larger conveyor bearings (2.5" - 3"), we have selected and tested a state of the art lithium complex grease to match tougher operating environments, especially when used in higher temperatures while also providing excellent mechanical stability. This grease has been formulated with a special additive package which insures high film strength, and extreme pressure and anti-wear properties. Recommended continuous operating range is from -22° to 355°F. Click for Technical Information regarding conveyor bearing lubrication. In addition, we offer bearings with regreasable features.
