• Load Rating Options
  Frantz® conveyor wheels are engineered to meet or exceed the CEMA standard of 1M revs at the stated load rating. Click for Technical Information on Load Ratings. Our conveyor wheels are rigorously tested by our engineering staff on custom designed life/load test equipment to provide you with a peace of mind quality product that will perform to your expectation. Conveyor / Skate Wheel load ratings range from 20lbs to 300lbs.


• Stainless Steel or Aluminum

• Sterling Armor®
  For applications where corrosion is an issue, Frantz® offers Sterling Armor®; a special heat treating process that changes the physical microstructure within the steel surface to provide corrosion protection superior or equivalent to stainless steel in most environments. Finishes include gloss black or dull patina. Sterling Armor® is a cost effective solution to your wheel corrosion challenges in outdoor, wash down, and corrosive environments.


• Shielded Protection for longer life
  Selected skatewheels contain races with rare labryrinth shield designs. Extra machining on the inner race adds a profile “step” that prevents a direct path for ingress of dust and foreign matter into the rolling elements (see chart below and detailed drawings). We even offer a conveyor wheel with seals for further protection from outside elements.


• Tortoise Shell® tough tread.
  Selected conveyor wheels are Tortoise Shell® designed to outperform under abusive conditions, are puncture resistant, and last longer than economy models. Frantz® Tortoise Shell® products will last longer, resist puncture, and lower the lifetime cost of your gravity conveyor.


• Bigger Diameters, Greater Load Ratings
  Frantz® offers 11 Conveyor Idler wheel models with diameters ranging from 1-13/32” to 2 ¾” and load capacities from 120lbs to 200lbs. Frantz builds Dreadnought wheels for special and abusive gravity conveyor applications like those found in the lumber and granite industries.


• Lubrication
  All Frantz Conveyor / Skate wheels can be ordered oiled, greased, or dry. The application and the environment surrounding it determine the optimal selection. Lubrication is important when considering contamination and ease of rolling issues. Contact our Customer Service Representatives for recommendations on Conveyor / Skate wheel lubrication. • Design Flexibility
  Interchangeable componentry coupled with conveyor wheel and conveyor bearing engineering expertise allows Frantz to rapidly custom design and build a skate, trolley, push back rack, or hollow core conveyor wheel to suit your special conveyor application. Ask us.

Low Profile: These Conveyor / Skate wheels are used by customers in specialty applications where lower clearances are required.

Light Duty: These Conveyor / Skate wheels are the most common selection for standard gravity conveyor applications. Stainless Steel and Aluminum specialty options are also available.

Medium Duty: These Conveyor / Skate wheels are ideal for intermediate level applications. 100% Stainless Steel specialty options are available on certain models. Click for further details regarding Stainless Steel Conveyor Wheels.

Heavy Duty: Customers requiring a heavy duty Conveyor / Skate wheel that will take abuse and loads up to 150lbs at CEMA standard will find a solution in these Frantz Tortoise Shell® models.

Extra Heavy Duty: This is Frantz territory. We specialize in these Tortoise Shell® tough models that withstand shock and abuse and keep rolling. We offer conveyor wheel options in two diameters in this category and load ratings up to 300lbs at CEMA standard. If you have an abusive application, Frantz has a conveyor wheel to match.

Construction Duty: Inspired by early 20th century British battleships, the Frantz Dreadnought should be considered in bulky applications such as granite and logging where smooth wheel revolutions are not as important as managing the product down to its final destination. Customers currently using costly short thick walled rollers may find a ganged Dreadnought solution to be more cost beneficial.

Large Diameter / Idler: Frantz offers larger diameter Idler and Guide wheels to suit a variety of customer material handling applications. These wheels were designed and engineered using Frantz extensive wheel and bearing expertise.

Trolley Wheels: Frantz offers three models of Trolley Wheel for overhead and push back wheel applications. Click for Trolley Wheel product details; Model 10-TC, Model W-13, and Model 46.

Drop-In Axle Wheels: Customers requested and Frantz delivered a conveyor wheel containing an axle designed to be easily dropped into a frame thus lowering the cost of conveyor assembly and making conveyor wheel replacement easy. Hollow Core Wheels: Customers requested and Frantz delivered a wheel without core races and balls for applications requiring the toughness of metal but without the need for the core. They are popular with manufacturers of masonry joint rakers. In addition, special wheels can be custom designed with a journal type axle/bearing to provide a more durable wheel solution to customers who are currently using plastic wheels. Wheels can be ganged together to provide a more cost effective solution than expensive short rollers.
