Frantz® brings its experience and reputation for engineering top quality Conveyor Bearings to Ball Transfers and Ball Casters with the introduction of EZ Glider®. Manufactured in Sterling, IL, EZ Glider Ball Transfers and Casters offer both stud and flange mount styles with a variety of optional features and load ratings which dare you to compare. Frantz EZ Glider Ball Transfers are simply better than the competition. This is our EZ Glider® Ball Transfer value to you:
·
“Best in Class” Load
Ratings.
At 150lbs
EZ Glider® carbon steel and stainless steel models
carry up to 230% of the load capacity of competitor product. With ball
cups up to 35% harder than the competition, Sterling® Steel Ball nesting balls
with ABMA spec case depth, and a tightly swaged assembly design, EZ Gliders
easily outperform competitive offerings in load carrying capability.
The result is that you need up to
half as many EZ Glider Ball Transfers
and Ball Casters for your application giving you
significant cost savings. Note that consideration must be
given to the number of ball transfers
that product surface rides on for smooth conveyance as well as the load capacity
itself. Nevertheless, substantial savings are available due to our
superior EZ Glider load rating value.
·
“Best in Class” Ball
Options.
For sensitive “No-Mar” product surfaces, Frantz offers
three non metal primary ball options; Acetyl (Acetal), Nylon, and
Polypropylene. Marry them with either Stainless Steel or Carbon Steel
components. EZ Glider Ball Transfer options available only at Frantz.
o
Acetyl
(Acetal)
– Delrin® acetyl (acetal) homopolymer resin has high tensile strength, stiffness,
resilience, fatigue endurance, a low coefficient of friction, and moderate
toughness. It provides predictable mechanical, chemical and electric
properties over a broad temperature range for long periods. Good lubricity
and resistance to wear make this a good choice for demanding Ball Transfer and
Ball Caster applications.
It has low moisture absorption and is resistant to
a wide variety of solvents, including alcohols, aliphatics, aromatics, aldehydes,
ketones, ethers, oils, greases and gasoline.
Load rating with the Acetyl (Acetal) primary ball is greater
than most competitor carbon steel product.
o
Nylon
– Nylon 6/6 offers high strength (especially at elevated temperatures),
toughness at low temperatures, stiffness, wear and abrasion resistance, low
coefficient of friction and good chemical resistance.
Use
for high impact application requiring strength and rigidity.
UV light results in degradation over time.
Resists hydrocarbons, aromatics, aliphatic
solvents, automotive oils and fuels, and refrigerants.
Attacked by strong acids, bases and phenol.
Gradually attacked by hot water.
Load rating with the Nylon primary ball is equal to
most competitor carbon steel product.
o
Polypropylene –
Polypropylene offers a good balance of thermal and chemical properties with
moderate strength.
It has one of the lowest densities of all plastics
and has a good strength to weight ratio.
It offers excellent chemical resistance with very
low permeability to water, vapor, and gases. It meets the requirement of
the U.S. Food and Drug Administration as specified in CFR 177.1520 and is Drug
Master File listed.
It can be used in direct contact with foods.
Liquids such as gasoline, Xylene, and chlorinated
solvents will swell and soften this material. Polypropylene is an
economical “No-Mar” choice.
·
100% Stainless Steel.
EZ Glider® Stainless Steel
Ball Transfers are not just partly or mostly stainless.
All
components are Stainless Steel down to the mounting bolt.
